Portrait Sessions
Portrait sessions are approached as a shared process of observation, attention, and image-making.
I work primarily with analogue black-and-white photography, allowing space for slowness, uncertainty, and the experience of the encounter itself to shape the images.
Each session begins with a conversation where we can discuss ideas, location, clothing, mood, and preparation. I do not work from strict references or recreate existing images, preferring each session to develop organically through collaboration and my own visual language.
Sessions are not limited to a fixed duration. Most take around two hours, though the process itself is more important to me than timekeeping.
Each session includes:
— approximately 20 edited high-resolution film scans
— a small selection of Polaroids made during the session
— one hand-made Polaroid emulsion lift, mounted in a 20×20 cm passe-partout
— a pre-session consultation
I do not provide unedited files or raw scans.
Sessions can remain private upon request.
Based in London and available for projects in other cities, including extended stays.
